I been scouring the forums for help with itching and thin coat for Zena. I have finally found what works for her. She's 1 1/2 and has dealt with itching since a puppy.
She eats twice a day. I place a dollop of yogurt and sprinkle Nzymes (Nzymes.com) over her food which now is changed to Evo fish (no starches in first 5 ingredients). She was on Earthborn fish but the potatoes as the second ingredient didn't help what I think was a yeast overgrowth. Her puppy year was spent on and off antibiotics to rid a staph infection from the itching. I still think she has an allergy to chicken so am avoiding that altogether. Now she has very little itching and her coat is coming in very nicely. No more oily/greasy skin or coat either. Hopefully this is an option for someone else to try. |
