So when my shepherd was a puppy he jumped out of the back of a non moving truck, and when he landed he started limping(this was about 9 months ago). He proceeded to limp for less then a week, and every once in a while his limp comes back for like a day or two. So the past 4 days he has been limping non stop and he didnt do anything to make him limp. He does not seem to be in pain he just limps, its in his front left shoulder. We were seeing if anything was in pain, we moved it all around, and nothing, but when we straightend it out and pushed it back towards his back leg, he did not like it. any ideas of what it could be?????? thanks

Did you have it xrayed after the initial injury? If not, it's time to do so IMHO.
The lack of range of motion could possibly mean something may be wrong inside the joint. Since this had an acute onset from an injury, I would go to a vet who is good on orthopedic issues, or a specialist. |
