Pellet size poops good bad?
 

I am feeding my 11 month old Taste of the Wild kibble twice a day and I am no sure if it is normal for her to be only pooping out small pellet poops they are round and hard. She also seems to be straining while she has to poop is this normal? I am not sure if this is because there isn't much by products in her food causing her not to have to poop as often. Another question are many german shepherds grazers when it comes to eating I have never had a dog that doesn't eat their meal all at one sitting. Help is appreciated thank you!!

Is she drinking enough? I'd moisten/soak the kibble for several minutes before feeding and see if that helps. Are you using treats for training so she isn't hungry for the kibble? Which protein of TOTW are you feeding?

She drinks plenty of water. She does not like her food wet she will hold out even longer to eat if her food is wet. We are feeding her Venison and Bison

I'd add in some probiotic/digestive enzymes then. If she's straining her digestive system isn't working right. When you train, is she food(treat) motivated?

Yes when we train she is treat motivated, however she does not get that many. What is a good probitoic or enzyme you recommend.

She might just be a picky eater. I've had one of those and I've had several that never met a food they didn't like. Fortunately, the two dogs I have now are of the latter persuasion. If she's not eating enthusiastically (and you're not feeding her more than she really needs), it may just be that she's not particularly fond of that food.

The goat pellets you described is not normal. If she's drinking plenty of water, try adding some canned to her kibble (I like Merrick) and see if that helps. As OP above said, probiotics. I'm a HUGE fan of probiotics. I feed food that has pre and pro in it, but you can go to your local feed store or Tractor Supply and get a jar of Probios for $10 that will last a while and just follow directions. Another alternative to get good bugs in is yogurt
