For two years now I've been using frontline plus. Over the last few months the fleas in my area seem to become immune to it. I had tried advantage II, but no success. Has anyone had better results with other flea control meds? I was thinking about trying Advocate.

February in Ohio = no fleas.
I used to use Revolution in Flea Season. But I haven't used anything in several years and haven't seen a flea. I figure once I have a confirmed flea, I will put the stuff on all of them. Shazaam! And kill all fleas and flea eggs. I might put it on them a month later for good measure. I won't use it as a preventative anymore.

Nothing at the moment. K9 Advantix or Advantage and natural remedies.

I am using the preventic collar right now after pulling off 7 ticks - nothing for fleas. Not too happy about t hat!
Going to go back to dusting with diatomaceous earth. Was surprised to pick up ticks so early but I was in the lowcountry.

Not having cats anymore. since the cats are gone, none of our dogs have had a flea in more than 15 years. Our current dogs never had flea meds.

I use frontline plus, but only every 3 months starting in April..so they get a total of two doses all year long. I would prefer not to use anything, but it can get quite expensive if fleas invade the household, especially with 8 animals.
