Hi I was just having some bonding time with my 12 week old GSD, and was on the floor rubbing her belly when I noticed red bumps/lumps/dots? on her.. im guessing vulva? (where she pees from) she hasnt been licking herself excessively and she does not seem irritated by this... she does have a vet appt tomorrow to get her 12 week shots done and I plan on asking the vet but would like to get some insight as to what it could be before hand... Anyone have any ideas?

Just got back from the vets, it went well... The vet checked this red lump thinggy and said it could be puppy pyoderma, she wiped it with rubbing alcohol and told me to do the same and just keep an eye on it, and she will check it again next time we go in ( March 8th) for her last shots.

My pup had the same problem. Vet gave her antibiotics & I used a hypoallergenic shampoo, but they got worse, all over her belly and some hair loss. A frieng suggested a chicken free dog food, and lo & behold, in a week they were gone! This may well not be the problem, but if they get worse I'd give it a try. I switched to, Taste of the wild lamb & brown rice. Since then I've been hearing more people saying their dogs have a chicken allergy as well.

Hi all so after the vet had wiped her with the rubbing alcohol and I did it twice afterwards the "bump/lump" seemed to scab and then sort of went away but now there are tons! and there are some on her belly too! No amount of me wiping with alcohol swabs is doing any different so could it be a chicken allergy like a few have stated? I have her on "Life Time" Chicken and oatmeal, and her next vet appointment is on March 8th to get her last shots done so I will be checking with the vet again at that time.. its still not bothering her, she doesn't spend a whole lot of time "down there" so I dont think she is bothered by it that much but still... I will try to attach a picture for you to see what it looks like
