Default GSD might have Hematuria?

My dog Max, 6 year old male long haired GSD has been having problems for the last few weeks. I noticed just about three weeks ago he has been uncontrollable urinating. In that urine there would be a mixture of blood. About a week and a half after noticing this I started walking him daily, there is a big trail where he can run free so he will run for miles with my neighbors dog. The last time I walked him was Monday 1/7/13. I noticed ever since I started walking him I was seeing less and less blood in the urine and now today when I came home from school he is very weak. He isn't running the most he will dog is a fast pace walk. He is having a very hard time laying down and doesn't want to. I took him outside to get some air earlier and he urinated A-LOT but, no blood at all. I know it's something in his hips. What should I do?

Hematuria can be a sign of a UTI, stones, bladder trauma, etc...

He needs to see the vet ASAP>

He needs to see a vet three weeks ago. Blood in the urine can have many causes, and some can be life threatening.
