As I was putting away my Christmas stuff this morning, I noticed the glass bulb on one of the candles in the window was broken. I am assuming this happened when one of the dogs (probably Stella) was barking at something she saw through the window. Not even sure when it got broken. Is there anything I should do or look for? I am just worried she ate some of the glass.

I really doubt Stella would eat glass, and since she is feeling okay I wouldn't worry about that. You said it was broke - did you notice any glass anywhere? Like on the window sill or the floor? Just to be safe - vacuum and wipe that area to remove any glass splinters. Check your dogs' paws also.

I heard somewhere, and it's been many years ago, that if you think your pet has ingested some glass to dip a cotton ball in milk and have them swallow it. The cotton ball will pick up the fragments of glass and protect their insides.
Someone else may comment on that. |
