Can anyone help? Anyone know what this could be? (staph infec on chin?)

Hi everyone,
Have a 11 week old male GSD pup and he has white pustules on his chin, around his mouth and nose as in photo. Anyone know what this is? Otherwise very healthy and in good form. Anyone had problem like this before? Any replies would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi sukigirl, thanks for your reply.
Feeding Max out of a stainless steel bowl. Washing it every time he eats! I heard plastic bowls could cause a staph infection.
We had a problem with ringworm with a kitten a couple of months ago and have treated cat/dog/family/environment several times. However poor Max's spots are still there, beginning to think its not ringworm at all.

It does sound like an infection usually caused by the bowls but metal bowls should be fixing it. May want a bigger bowl so pup's chin isn't in the food as much????

What age did you bring your pup home?
How was the kitten dx. with ringworm?
Any family members get it?
Was the "ringworm" there before bringing pup home?
Did the pustules develop after bringing puppy home, how long has he had them?
What did/does treating the enviro. with/mean?
Obviously vaccinated before coming home to you(?) what vaccines?
Note: if he is sch. for next round, I would hold off until you know what you are dealing with re: compromising the immune system
What food?

Max came home at 7 weeks, vaccinated, wormed and taken from mother all on same day unfortunately so he was a lil sick for first 3 days (hunger strike etc) grew out of it after the 3 days and vet call. He was absolutely flying for next 2/3 weeks until pustules appeared. He then received his 2nd round of vaccinations. Vet gave us oridermyl to put on pustules but didn't seem to do anything at all. Continued until was all gone.
Kitten (4 months) had ringworm, was stray and brought it into house so was here before max was brought home. Kitten had some bald patches but hair has since grown back. Kitten had lime sulfur wash. Unfortunately some family members had small patches of ringworm but was treated for quickly. Environment was/is being treated everyday with bleach, vacuuming, pet beds etc washed, floors and carpets steam cleaned.
max is being fed beta puppy large breed food atm.

Ringworm makes a very distinct marking on the skin - and it doesn't sound like that's what he has. Perhaps the soap you are using to wash the bowl is irritating his skin? Or a detergent?

I had a cat growing up who got acne-like pimples on his chin and lips from the plastic bowl he ate out of (bacteria grows in there and it is hard to remove from plastic). But he could also be getting the pustules from food that gets stuck in the fur around his mouth and snout. Maybe try wiping that area with a damp washcloth and mild antibacterial soap after mealtime.

Are they pustules, are they oozing?
The vaccines were a little close together. This may also be a result of compromised immune system and stress - vaccines, leaving home and mother, new surroundings and then the food is less then optimal (actually it's quite questionable "meat" 14% that does not tell you anything and could consist of the kitchen sink of rendered animals - road kill, diseased that were not fot for human consumption as well as shelter and vet animals PTS, this would include the drugs these animals were given to be PTS) - dogs need real protein and little to no carbs
