Default Sudden diahhrea?

I took onyx out when I got up this morning and he peed and pooped like normal. I went and got groceries..I was gone maybe 2 hours and I came home to a MESS. He had pooped in his kennel..and it was green, it smelled horrible and was very runny.

I don't know what could have brought this on. We don't give him people food and we haven't given him anything different.

My husband turned up with the stomach flu a few hours later....and this may sound stupid...but could onyx have passed the stomach flu to my husband or vice versa?

I think the stomach flu may be a coincidence, but if vomiting and inactivity follow then onyx could have a health issue that needs further analysis. From what I know as far it could be intestinal parasites. My dog, Iki never had green stools, but it was diarrhea nonetheless because of worms. But if your dog was passing normal stools before then he could just have consumed something undesirable like feces (I know my dog does). Other than that, if the problem persists then it would be best to see a vet.

It took me forever to find this post again...onyx had whip worms. That was the cause of this whole mess. Powder in his food for 3 days and he's good as new!
