I will have a more detailed discussion with her on our followup. We discussed on the phone but I would think so too with the higher protein diet. Higher alkaline is consistent with the phosphate crystals from what I have read. Could be related to low grade chronic infection UTI or even some prostatitis. even though neg on bacteria..is what I gathered...so she is treating right now as for infection with keflex for 14 days.

Follow up urinalysis normal. Only thought on alkaline was vegetable matter in food, infection. We are going to keep an eye on things (I will keep an eye on urinary pH once a month or so) and going to continue to encourage more fluid intake.
