Glad to hear that you are getting some answers. Let's hope for a simple extraction and easy recovery. Shadow lost 3 big molars in total, I suspect due to many, many big rawhide bones over her life, but still had no trouble managing her food. They don't really chew kibble anyway, do they, just inhale it.

Her tooth is out. I can pick up at 5:30 EST. I will get the scoop then on exactly how it all went. For now I breath a sigh of relief about her just making it through. The estimate this morning included a line for the tooth extraction -$5! Amazingly this whole thing with meds and initial visit/blood will cost me a few hundred dollars. I am shocked!(Beast cost me $3700 for his tooth). I feel like that was even extra good news!

turns out they puled 2 teeth- a small one they thought was the culprit and the big one they said needed to come out for drainage purposes. The lump seems to be the same size- I guess it will go down with time. She has some pain meds and abx. She ate a small meal and has been mostly sleeping. I am very happy for the old lady.

It will probably be a day or so before the swelling begins to subside. Glad to hear she did good with the anesthesia and is home eating.
