Imbedded collar wounds care
 

What is the best thing to do about these sort of wounds? Recommended medicines? I got "wound cream" from petsmart, I'm out of town with the dog now, if things look worse we will go to the vet when we get home. It's not pretty at all. But she is quite the sweetheart :wub:

These wounds tend to be nasty and infected. I would suggest taking the dog to the vet and putting her on an antibiotic.

Depending on how bad it is, it can be like a puncture wound were the outside will heal and close together, but the inside part can get infected and go unseen.

I have no idea how you could stop yourself from clocking the so called owner.
Embedded collar... No excuse for that, absolutely none. A vet would clean it out thoroughly and put her on an antibiotic, then sew it closed when it is ok to do so.
