My 11 year old female, Heidi, has hip dysplasia, but has been pretty well so far until yesterday. She was kind of dragging her back feet, like they were turning over, and her legs kept getting "tangled up," for lack of a better description. Does this sound like HD getting worse? Or something else? I hope not DM. We didn't even take a walk because she was having so much difficulty and seemed to be in pain.

I would test for DM. Could be a pinched nerve in her back. But the "turning over" seems to be a classic sign.

Get an xray of her back. It's possible there is disc degeneration that would cause pain and affect her walking, especially if something shifted and it's pinching nerves.
