When I took Bear to Vet last Thursday, he made a comment about Bear having possible eye issues. Bear is now 7 weeks old. Since then I don't know if I am seeing things or it is real. He doesn't like to track with his eyes, but then I am using his kibble because that is all I have at the moment. Then it seems that he doesn't like climbing a few stairs in the evening (the stairs are black rock).
So is eyesight issues normal for this young of pup or could the vet be right. He does just fine during the day where there is light. Thanks |

The vet may be right. Have the vet refer you to an opthamologist. There may be age issues for treatment since your pup is so young.
Does any of her siblings have issues, or the parents? My lab had genetic blindness - detached retina (reason why you don't breed dogs just cause you have them ) With the vet and opthamologist working together, we knew what to expect at some point with her eye.
