Smile Need Help..!!!

I just brought home a month old german shepherd pup..but his right leg seems to be a little bent...the guy from where i got him says its due to his weight and will be fine in a few days...but i am concerned...He limps a little while walking but doesnt show any sign of pain or struggle...Is this normal or should i take him to a vet and get an x-ray?

That does NOT look normal to me either. BOTH legs should look the same and you are right, his right leg looks bent. If it was broken a month ago and he's walking on it, it may be healing already. There are also growth plate issues with such a young pup so you DO need to get to the vet ASAP and have those x-rays done.

So he is barely 4weeks old??? Way way to young to be taken from his mom and littermates.
No, the leg is not normal at all. My bet it was either born that way or injured and not taken care of. Take the puppy to the vet.

No, you're being lied to. And any "breeder" who would take a puppy away from its mother and littermates at 30 days old needs to be taken out and shot.

something is not right there, and the "breeder" (as I use the word loosely), is full of it.

I would be off to the vet ASAP and find out what's going on with that leg

Yep...was probably broken by mom stepping on it...could have happened while she was delivering them...not normal at all...and you knew that already but just came here for confirmation from us...you will have a lot of vet bills and surgeries with this one...sorry you are going to be going through this with your pup...pups should never leave their mother or litter mates before 8 wks of age...I wish you luck!

Here in the USA we have laws to (try to) prevent people from separating a puppy from it's mother before it is 8 weeks of age.

It's not just whether or not the puppy is still nursing from the mother. It also has to do with critical socialization skills they learn from their mother, brothers and sisters.

As for it being from the puppy not walking much - no, that is a lie.

Either the leg was broken and never healed correctly or the puppy has a defect in the bone in his leg.

Either way I would suggest returning the puppy to the breeder and getting your money back.

you still need to take him to a vet if you haven't done so.

I 'get' that your attached, however, you need to know what your dealing with concerning his leg.

If it's an injury of some type, it needs to be FIXED, so he doesn't have life long problems from whatever is going on, and you don't have huge medical bills in the future because you didn't fix NOW would should have been.
