Default 9 days post spay incision seems redder

It is 9 days since Stella was spayed and when I looked at her incision today it seemed redder than previously. It doesn't seem to bother her at all and she has not been licking it. Yesterday she did run around the yard quite a bit....maybe too much???? She is acting normal but I am freaking out a little. Fortunately we do have a vet appt tomorrow morning but just needing some opinions today so I can sleep tonight!

well it's good you have a vet appt tomorrow so they can check it out..It's probably nothing, but will give you peace of mind.

could be a little infection, to much racing around as you said, could be anything, don't worry about it till the vet appt

Not to scare you, but afemale I had, was spayed with a bad batch of gut stitch She wasn't the only one),,it was MORE than red, it was oozy, bumpy, just not right, unfortunately they had to open her back up and get the gut stitch out, she was fine, and that didn't cost me one penny

I too, am glad she's going to the Vet today. My little Shoshi had a severe reaction to the stitch material they used after her Spay. Good luck this morning!

It's not unusual, we have girls who do that too. Sometimes it gets really big and poofy. Just keep a close eye on it, checking it 2x a day (am and PM).
