Thumbs down Oozing sore won't heal

My 5 year old allergic to everything but on allergy shots dog, has a open scab on his head. Between the ears, about the size of a dime and it will not heal. What do you think it could be? I've tried Neosporine and Bedadine. I have a pic on my phone but don't know how to upload it.
Any tips?

Abcess..... Wolf worm..... Who knows.
Trip to vet is in order if not clearing up with home remedy.

I think a couple of weeks. He's on allergy shots. He is allergic to fleas, dust, trees, grasses, weeds, perfume, chicken, kelp, and a whole list of other things. It's very normal for him to have scabs and be itching. He usually creates hot spots and they go away with some home remedies. I'm thinking it's a hot spot that will not heal. Anything I can do over the weekend before I can get him in?

I had the same problem with my dog, I would clean the wounds with betadine (they don't like the taste of it and wouldn't lick it. I also increased his vitamin C in take to boost his immune system. It fixed the problem within 3 days. Coconut oil is also great to help ease the itching. Hope this helps.

Agree with Evette! C is great for allergy dogs. It is a natural antiinflammatory, antihistamine as well as the immune booster. Vitamin E put on the area may help heal. Just prick a cap and squeeze some on if you don't have coconut oil. I rotate fish(salmon) oil and coconut oil for my dogs. Allergies suck!
There is a spray called Rejuva that sooths the skin. Maybe give that a try too? Azmira Holistic Animal Care Rejuva Spray for Pets 8 Fluid Ounces google for best pricing.

How do you give vitamin C to your dogs? Thanks for all the replies. I googled Wolf Worms and want to vomit. I doubt think that is it.

human grade EsterC....start at 500mg and over a week up the dosage to 1000. Then do 1000 each meal so 2000mg daily. If the dog has some runny poo, then back down the dosage.
