I just got my first GSD. I drove 6 hrs to get and her and so she had to ride 6 hrs back. When I got home, I realized she cannot jump on the bed by herself. She cries when she tries to. I have to lift her back legs up and help her but she cries when I do that too. Her back legs look like shes walking slightly pigeon toed. She is a 3 yr old LH GSD and around 72 lbs. Im taking her to the vet on monday. Any opinions?

Where did you get her? A rescue? Or a breeder? Or a private person?
Before you run off to the vet tomorrow....have you thought about getting health insurance in case it turns out to be something expensive? There is a time period 'clause' on many of them but something to think about. |

You won't know anything for sure until you get her checked out, and she probably should have x-rays done. Hope for the best. Maybe she was just stiff from the ride, or unused to jumping that high.
