I noticed a while back that my two year old, female, Kona had sort of strange peeling of her nails. They don't seem to cause pain and there is no blood, but thin sheets peel off of them frequently. She was at the vet for her shots a few weeks ago and the vet took a culture to test for fungal infection, but it was negative. She told me to add some vitamin E and Omega fats to her diet. Right now, she is eating TOTW duck flavor and I have been feeding her a GNC Superfood supplement, but I haven't seen any improvement in the nails over the last month. Anything else I should try? Or maybe a second vet opinion? I want to make sure she doesn't have some underlying health issue we aren't aware of. I've never seen any of my other dogs have nails like that, and they all eat the same diet. Other than the nails, the vet said she is a very healthy active dog. If anyone has any advice that might help, its greatly appreciated! Thanks!
