Parvo is best treated by your vet rather than a very costly kit you can order. Firstly, once a puppy has symptoms, you should cease all oral intake.
The "kit" our vet uses starts with an IV (or subcutaneous fluids - many vets will allow you to do sub-cu fluids at home), anti-nausea medications (given sub-cu or IV, not orally!) antibiotics (again, sub-cu or IV, not orally!) and we often give puppies a B-complex or B-12 injection as well.

Parvo kills by dehydration but also a systemic bacterial infection because of the mucus protective layer of the intestines is lost and bacteria invades the bloodstream quickly.

This is one case where homeopathy can kill your puppy.

Abso-frickin-lutely DO NOT attempt to treat Parvo yourself unless you don't really care if your puppy lives or dies.

I apologize, i wasnt intending to promote any type of kit but instead just wanted to share some of the warning signs of this horrible disease. My parents had a dog that was affected by parvo years ago and it literally happened within a day. I didnt know much about it then until we had to handle the situation and I wanted to possibly prevent other people from going through that. My husband and I brought the pup to the vet then and was diagnosed. We were fortunate enough to have the time and dedication to home treat it and gave IV fluids routinely, antibiotics, sterilizing, weighing, monitoring, and constant checkups. I am very happy to say he made it through and also thanks to the support and resources given by the vet. However, I completely agree that under normal circumstances its best to be handled in a vet setting. Just to add that we purchased all fluids, needles, alcohol pads, tubing, meds, and etc directly from the vet so it wasnt just something picked up at the local pet store which i think many may not be aware of.
