Hello, Mina is 4 months old and has been on a raw diet for about 2 1/2 weeks now. Since I switched over to raw she has vomited in the morning. Not every morning, just about 3 times. Before the raw it had never happend. I have been told before that puppies get a bile build up at night. Is this all it is? That's all I see her vomiting when it happens. Could it be that the raw digest faster than the kibble so she is on an empty stomach? I feed dinner around 5 pm and breakfast around 7 am. Could this be too long between meals? I know if I dont eat for a long period of time I get nauseous. I am not too concerned yet, just curious on your input of why this could be. Thanks for your help.

My dog vomits bile in the morning. I needed to adjust his feeding times. I found that if he eats anytime before 6 pm, he vomits in the morning. 6 pm or after with a night time snack at around 10 pm, and he's fine.

My daughters puppy started doing the same thing around this age. I told her to feed him latter or at least split his last meal giving him his last meal around 8-9:00 pm and then he never did it again. good luck.

My puppy would vomit occasionally in the morning as well.
I took the advice others gave me and changed his feeding schedule. He gets a meal in the morning, small meal in the afternoon, and then another meal a few hours before we turn in for the night. Since I have done that, no more sick puppy in the morning. Hope this helps you! |

My pup did and sometimes still does the same thing when his stomach is too empty. I give him a handful of kibble and a homemade chicken jerky treat when I go to bed and that does the trick. He only eats the kibble when he needs it
