Default Should I get her teeth fixed?

My 2.5 year old shepherd spent the first year of her life before we got her in an outdoor kennel where she chewed on the fencing and created dents in both upper canines. One vet has strongly recommended that we get her teeth bonded but another vet recently told me that since she isn't a big chewer I don't necessarily have to fix them. We have a wooden fence in our yard so she isn't exacerbating the problem. What do you guys think?

Geepers, no. Our GSD had way worse teeth than that and was fine.

I wouldn't either. They look like they would work perfect for her as far as eating goes, so I wouldn't spend the money.

Nope. He didn't use those ones to chew, really.

If there is no issue with the pulp and it looks like there is not i would leave them ALONE.

Why did the first vet recommend this and what would be involved?

The first vet was the one who spayed her and he did a floride treatment for her teeth while she was under. Her spay ended up costing around $500. We thought the quoted price was all inclusive but once we got there we found out we had to pay extra for everything. For example, IV catheter and fluids cost us around a 100 bucks-51 to place the IV and 51 for the fluids. She was charged $80 for having an "obese friable uterus" because she had gone through a heat. It was ridiculous. He probably recommended getting her teeth fixed to make more money. We've never been back to that vet. I got my pup spayed at my current vet for 180 all inclusive.

Honestly, if she wore off the enamel, "bondo' will just chip off. I am a dental hygienist and I see people that chip their front teeth (me being one of them) and the resin is not as strong as the enamel. It eventually needs to be replaced, the front teeth take so much wear. I think the only benefit to filling it would be aesthetics, which I am pretty sure the dog could care less about.

Unless it bothers her or if it's causing her pain, I'd leave them alone.

Leave it alone. I've seen much worse.
