Hi, firstly I'm hoping it's OK my boy is crossbreed for this forum, I noticed several posts from people with crosses before I joined. He is Collie cross GSH, 9 1/2 months old, like a smallish black GSH in appearance, and far more Shepherd than Collie in nature. In the last month I have noticed that one testicle is there, and one isn't! Has anyone had this happen with their dog, and then the second ball appearing later? I want to leave it as long as poss before getting him done, so we have time to wait and see what occurs.

GSH or GSD?
It's a retained testicle. Not sure about border collies, but I know that it's not super rare to see in GSDs. When you decide to have him neutered, it may be descended by then, but more likely, they will have to go look for it and cut it out.
