Default Loose Stools

Abby has had loose stools since I got her. They are like peanut butter. She goes about 3-4 times a day its not runny just far from solid. My vet has run fecals twice and all is well there now. She had tapeworm and Giardia when I got her and he gave her pancur. She has also been on Flagyl and I forgot the other name of the third medication. She was on Beneful when I got her and I since switched to Wellness. Her vet gave her ID prescription dog food that didnt help either. He is going to run a full panel next week but hes kinda at a loss. She eats great, very playful, no vomiting, no other signs of anything else wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

When I first got my pup we had very similar issues. Two of the biggest problems we had was over feeding and she just didn't agree well with wellness. We sense switched to earthborn which has worked very well. Good luck to you.

I had the same issue with my pup. Loose stools from day one. She got roundworms then giardia. Finally after 3 months of testing, medication and trying new foods we introduced probiotics and limiting her water (she would gulp cups at a time) we finally started getting firm stools! We believe it was an irritated gut.

Wellness has a much higher quality than Beneful and your pup's loose stool may simply be due to the fact that it is too rich for her particular system.
