Default Help ! 9 week old puppy with eye discharge and lips sores.

We picked up our puppy she has these two sores on her lips. I didn't notice til I came home. My husband said she was either chewing her kennel or the other puppies where all play biting they are healing but slowly. Now she has green eye goop this morning and now again tonight. She has very runny stools. This may be from slowly changing to better food. I am going to run her to the vet in the morning she was suppose to go next week. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with her lips though is it connected? i thought her tooth may be doing it but no teeth line up to cause this. I emailed the breeder the day we came home but I haven't gotten a reply.

Be very careful. I'd get her to the vet ASAP.
It could be distemper with the eye gunk.

If not, it could be juvenile cellulitis, what is commonly known as PUPPY STRANGLES.
Does she have enlarged lymph nodes under her jaw??

Either way get her to the vet. Distemper is very bad and strangles needs meds.

Green goop to me is vet time, typically some sort of infection, bacterial or viral.

Runny stools can be a number of things.

Do you know when the last vaccinations were, and what they were? If you do not have this information *call* the breeder.

Under NO circumstances let the vet vaccination this puppy while she is not well.

The sores, I'm not sure, but I could see it them from biting on a kennel or something similar. Right now I guess I'm more concerned about the other stuff.

What food was the breeder feeding? What are you switching her to?

Per your old posts, this puppy came from a very good breeder. I would call him. Emails get lost, people don't check them everyday, spam filters junk them, etc.

And I could call the vet tomorrow. Have you had him in for a checkup since you brought him home?

I will take her to the first first thing in the morning. The breeder was using eukanuba puppy. I've been adding to it natural choice puppy very slowly and eukanuba still. Her last poo was better about ten minutes ago.One will seem very runny the next will be less runny. I have called the breeder and he did get the emails and he said he would reply two days ago. I know he is very busy. I left the vets office a message to take her in first thing in the morning. Her first check up was suppose to be this friday but I will get her checked tom. and if she is sick I will not get shots til she feels better. To much on her little immune system. I have been very careful with her not to expose her to anyone but people in our home and no petco or anything. when I came home from pet store I took my shoes off and cleaned the bottoms. I haven't wore them yet they are in the garage. Our lab breeder told us her friend had a dogs die from petsmart from people coming to her kennel. We have been very careful just like with our lab.She didn't have the eye gunk the day we picked her up so I think what ever it is today was the first day. Maybe she is allergic to the food?

We had this puppy surrendered on Christmas eve in 2009, he came in with strangles.
One of the hallmarks is swollen lymph nodes all over, but noticeable under the jaw area.

His case had gotten a bit far by the time we got him. What happens is the lymph nodes swell and even rupture through the skin.

It is natures recipe puppy. I don't know why I keep thinking it is the other dog food. I had to go look at the bag. Her poo when I posted earlier looked better more formed she just went five minutes ago and all runny again. No blood or anything funny. She didn't eat her dinner.she did take her baked chicken I give her as reward for going outside to go poo. The breeder was doing it when we piked her up he encouraged us to continue it and I dont see that as the problem.
