Thumbs up No More Bloody Stool - 3 month old Ada

Happy New Year to all!!!
Would like to share the success story of my little 3 month old GSD furkid named Ada that had a very watery and bloody poop... FIRST SUSPECT = PARVO

When we got her Dec 17, 2011, she seems ok until we got home where ada had a very watery and foul smelling poop.

...

We initially thought it was due to stress from the travel, until we noticed blood on her stool a few days after.

After advised from the vet and the breeder, we gave her a series of oral antibiotics ( and dewormer, multivitamins, and probiotics for more than a week.

Suspected causes are : intestinal worms, “bad bacteria” (possibly SIBO- small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), stressed due to travel and from vaccination.

We delisted parvo as one of the suspects because ada is very active and playful with the rest of the pack, and eats a lot , also the breeder’s other dogs and ada’s other siblings with them are all negative for parvo, likewise our other furkids here at home are parvo free^_^ (they are siberian huskies)

Her food was also gradually changed from beef pro puppy (from breeder) to Holistic puppy. (Take note, these kibbles have corn and rice in the ingredients).

But still, the watery and bloody poop was not totally eliminated.
Until we tried to give her raw chicken Neck and wings (our other furkids are on Raw Feeding diet for months already), and the results are great!!! Her poop finally started to firm up and no more blood!!!!

Now, all our furkids including Ada, are on raw feeding Diet which contains daily serving of raw chicken, raw pork, raw beef, and raw fish (all served frozen / semi-thawed) together with multivitamins and probiotics (yakult) and they all have very firm and solid poop, plus they are very active and playful.

I am not a vet (my vet is from Fil-Chi vet clinics haha-lol), I am just sharing my experience with my furkids and how my cute furkid Ada recovered with the help of some medicines, vitamins, yakult probiotics, and raw feeding.

Thank you all!!!
