Unhappy Soft movable lump on leg

Today we found a soft movable lump on the back of our dog's right leg just above the elbow. It's the size of a grape and doesn't appear to bother him in any way. When he walks it sort of jiggles and that's how we noticed it. Were hoping it is just a cyst or fatty nodule but checking with the vet tomorrow. Could this have occurred because of his diet? We feed him Acana Pacifica and salmon or sardines and ho grains. He is recovering from mange and was on antibiotics for a few weeks but now that is over. Any ideas?

Don't have any suggestions, just hope that your boy will be ok.

Typically the cancerous lumps are those that do not move when handled, seemingly firmly attached to the body. Typically the lumps that move about are fatty deposits or cysts.

IF it's a lipoma, I know that fish oils and fish caused these on my old girl.

He is on a fish diet now..guess we'll cut back and add some poultry to his food and see what happens.

Our GSD/Husky mix got lipomas and she was never on Fish oil or any fish diet. I understood they are more a result of age (people get them too) and not necessairly connected to diet. I may be wrong on that then...

If he is young and has a lipoma/bump of moveable stuff, I'd want that looked at.
