Hmm. I know what cow hocked is...we'd need to see a pic of your pup to determine if he really is or not.
I use photobucket to upload on here.

Should've added: if he's truly cow hocked then nothing can be done- it's the way he was built (conformation). Shouldn't really affect how he lives.

Being cowhocked will not cause problems. Depending on how old he is and how much rear leg angulation, it might tighten up with age and muscling.
But, there are plenty of cow hocked dogs of all breeds out there, some even being shown and winning their Championships.. Not a big deal |

Some puppies look very cowhocked in the first year or so, but may grow out if it entirely. The different growth stages make their bones loose/weird/too long/too short....
Cow Hocked Feet in the GSD I think at 50 seconds the GSD in the following video is cow-hocked too.

I'm a big believer in regular chiro care. My boy was/is cow-hocked, and it has helped him walk better over the years.

I see a lot of cowhocked GSDs and though it looks weird, it doesn't seem to cause them pain or discomfort. How old is your dog? Sometimes it improves as the dog matures.
