Well... I think the obvious question is:

Was he like this before he spent 4 days in the kennel?

And, how long have you had him?

Sounds like you are in the UK?

It could be inactivity and muscle tone (odd to be so fast), the dehydration idea, is there any possibility at all he could have gotten into something like a pesticide?

Is he able to walk/move around?
Eating?
Drinking?
Temperature?

Any coughing?

well I was thinking dehydration and ataxia which results from it . The dog looses muscle tone - quickly and is incordinated . The knees go into the centre and hocks go out to support the weight .

If he is not dehydrated and still active, I am afraid that he might has early sign of HD.

I would also want to know if he was like this prior to boarding..Since he's a puppy he may just be at that awkward gangly stage and simply cowhocked.

I would NOT say this is an early sign of HD,,but I WOULD have xrays done if you are concerned about hip status.

sorry i have not replied to this untill now. he is making a fast recovery though. because he jumps in his water bowl the people from the boarding may have not being bothered to refill it.

but he is walking almost 100% again. we will take him to the vet to be sure he ok when they re open.

but this theory that carmspack has stated sounds like whats happened. can a full recovery be made. thankyou

My dogs don't kennel well. I went to Europe for 10 days, I came back to one lame thin dog, one dog with an ear infection. And this is a good kennel.

Maybe your dog is the same way.
