Default It's going to be a long night...

Ugh...a little self pity for myself...

Wiva is having terrible liquid diarrhea. She already went twice in the house (on carpet). It was completely liquid so that was a blast to clean up . I feel so bad for her. She tried to hide the first one by eating it. But the second I smelled that toilet breath...I just knew. Poor thing is so sensitive to corrections. Before I could even react, she ran away and belly crawled into my closet to hide. I felt so bad for her Had to wash her face and clean her teeth to get her smelling halfway decent again.

Totally my fault. It's Whiskey's birthday (need to post pics tomorrow!) so he had a very rich liver, duck and venison cake. I only gave them a little bit (along with some probiotics) hoping that it wouldn't mess them up too bad, but I guess that was enough for Wiva. It's gonna be a long night. I've already covered my bedroom floor with tarp in anticipation. And of course to make the situation worse, it's raining hard all night so I'm looking forward to cleaning up liquid poo AND muddy paws.

Wish me luck. I have several rolls of paper towels and cleaning supplies ready to go!

Oh gosh - been there, done that, do not wish to repeat!

Good luck tonight!

If you have pumpkin and rice double boil the rice, add some boiled chicken or beef and add a tablespoon or so of pumpkin to it - it will help bind her up a bit.

That is my "sick diet" in emergencies!

Onyx got into my cat food last week and had two nights of diarrhea. Karlo did the same thing the week before. At first I thought Karlo had a bug til I put 2+2 together about the cat food. My kids leave the gate open just enough for the dogs to get into the laundry room where the cats eat. At least it was TOTW venison/salmon.

Gave my Bissell shampooer a workout~but I am so happy I invested in one!

I hope Wiva's tummy settles down. Probably eating it didn't help....I gave my dogs slippery elm bark to soothe their gut when they had the runs.

I think I'll fast her tomorrow and reintroduce food with some rice+wellness 95% chicken+probiotics (my go to recipe for diarrhea). Uggggggh

I know lol

I'll just have to crush up some kibble and mix it with rice for the next birthday. "Special" birthday cakes are ruining my carpet

A couple days ago I fed Amaretto a chew bone, and that firmed her up so nice she eeped the next morning poo-ing. Not sure if it'll help.

TARP is a godsend.

Hoping Wiva feels better.

They can also be given Pepto or Imodium, especially in a "quick help" moment....
I guess Santa will be sending Aish a basket full of *wet wipes, paper towels, rug cleaner and air freshers*.....MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHISKEY!

Thanks all. Here's hoping the other two tolerate today's festivities better than poor Wiva.

Thank you Robin! And a big happy birthday to Warden, Willow and Wheda too! Can't wait to get some pictures tomorrow of Whisk with his birthday presents!
