Default Chicken wing bone eaten

My sweet GS got into (she had to really try to get into this trash but did) and ate a chicken wing. Had loose stools and feel bad. Found the bone the next day in her poop. I changed her diet to chicken (irony) and rice. I also gave her a pepto-bismal. W/in a couple of hours my girls was eathing and playful as usual. I returned her to normal food and she has loose stools again. Woke me up 2 X last night to go out. All of this started Sat 12/17 and am trying to avoid the Vet bc I have relocated and will have to find a new DR.
Did I take her off the c/rice too soon. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Slippery elm bark will help heal the gut. You can get it at a grocery pharmacy(usually in the holistic herb section) or any health food store. I would make up a paste(open two capsules) with some yogurt or applesauce and give it 1/2 hour before you feed. Yes, stay with the bland diet for a few more meals. Give the SE for a couple of days. Maybe give some canned pure pumpkin to add a bit of fiber to the meals.
Are you sure that is all she got into?

I usually fast for 24 hours (Adult Dog) and then ease into a bland diet

and yep on the slippery elm, though I use Phytomucil which has slippery elm as one of the ingredients.

Hope she is better soon

Default thank

I will get some slippery elm tomorrow and go back to the ck/rice. Not sure if that's all she got into but found and uneatened stalk of celery. Guess the blue cheese was licked off.
Thanks for the advise
