Default Back from vet and Harley DOES NOT have DM!

Nor does he have anything else! I'm very surprised he was diagnosed with anything other than playing too hard?! He had an x-ray done of his hips and knees, both are good. Then he did some neurological tests, running him, pushing on his back, the flip test, nothing. He also said he highly doubts he has any tick borne diseases because he has no other symptoms.
He told me to keep him quiet for a few weeks, and if I see any other symptoms between now and then to come in. He seems like a very knowledgeable vet, he is highly recommended in my area.
Unless Harley starts falling down again, or anything else, I'll keep him quiet and see how it goes. But, I'm positive it is NOT DM and that makes me very, very

Oh yes! I've been chatting back and forth with her. I wanted to make sure he was 100% okay before we committed. Very excited about that.
But, we might wait till after Christmas. I would hate to bring him home with all the excitement and have him be afraid. I thought it would better to wait till after next weekend. Hubby and I don't do anything on New Years, so that won't be a problem.

That is so exciting. I can't wait to see new pictures of your handsome new man. So relieved to hear about Harley. You must be on cloud nine.

Yay! So glad that it turned out to be nothing serious!! It is so scary and we always think the worst. Of course it doesn't help having a "professional" tell us the worst!!

Again, so glad that everything is ok!! And can't wait to see your new little bundle of joy. Cheyenne is 1 day younger than Harley. I remember us both posting our newbie questions together!

Yippe Skippie!!! I'm so happy for you both. You had me worried with the "possibility" of a diagnosis of DM. Today should be a day to celerbrate your healthy boy. Hopfully the next few weeks of relaxing is less stressful for you both. I can just imagine how relieved you must feel . Congratz on the good news.

I am VERY happy to hear that he doesn't have DM.

However, I am still concerned about the cause of the limp:
Question about knees or hips?

Not saying your boy has a tick disease, but your vet is wrong that there would be other symptoms, sometimes all you see is a limp. Just wanted to say that in case this situation fits anyone else.

Hopefully this was a 'bout of pano or somethign like that, or strained muscle,.....something that was temporary.

GOOD NEWS! I agree with Lisa, being tick paranoid myself

And I would be calling the "other" vet with this one's conclusion,,Honestly, I would ask them to run a SNAP 4 just because I would want to rule out tick disease and then REALLY have peace of mind

*Just to add, many dogs HAVE TBD's and they show no clinical signs..

HAPPY for your good news

So glad to hear he doesn't have DM and all that it will take is keeping him under house arrest for a while. Hope that's the answer!!!

But ... if you don't notice any improvement, or he continues to get worse, PLEASE make sure you stay on top of it!!!
