Exclamation Help!! Puppy covered with poo/Parvo concerns!!!!

We were walking our puppy today and she started to smell something, so I tugged on her leash and as she came towards me I saw she was COVERED in something yellow. I went over to see what it was and it was a giant pile of diarrhea...I am very worried since I see parvo is very easy for puppies to catch, and she hasn't had all her vaccines. I am feeling a little like a dummy for taking her for a walk too far but she gets so hyper and I wanted to make sure she wasn't too bored or destructive I washed out her mouth with water the best I could, but I am pretty positive she ate a big bite of it...I called my vet and they said to watch for symptoms but that parvo takes 10 days to show up. I am still very worried and wondering what I should do?? any help or advice would be appreciated

Just keep a close eye on her. Were you walking her in a dog heavy area? Sounds like it will be a rough couple of days of worry. I hope she's fine.

No I don't think so, I made the mistake of thinking it would be better to take her to a small creek area about 10 minutes away from the house where I've never really seen any dogs instead of around the block. I didn't even think about her getting into wild animal poop because she never has eaten any poop before. She just went face first into this though I couldn't even stop her

You might want to bring a stool sample in to the vet to make sure she didn't pick up any intestinal parasites. I'm not sure how long it would take for them to show up in her system following the ingestion of the mystery poop. Your vet would be better able to answer that question.
