Default Ivermectin OVERDOSE!!! any help needed!

My Koda has mange and was put on ivermectin at a dose of .3 a day increasing .3 a day. Unfortunately my boyfriend read the bottle wrong and gave her 3ccs on the first day and 6 on the second day at about 6pm, totaling 9ccs when she should have had .9ccs!!!!! She was throwing up this morning, and twice last night. she has pupils dilated, problems walking, all the toxicity symptoms. I rushed her to the vet emergency and she is on IVs, charchol, they are calling me with an update at 3.

Have I done enough what else can I do????

It's up to the Vet now, nothing more you can do but hope that she makes it through!

I am hoping for a speedy recovery!

Thanks Everyone, I'm crying my eyes out, so mad at myself for letting this happen. Yesterday I was even weary of her dose and asked him to double check, I don't like numbers so didn't do it myself. I feel like the worst person alive for hurting such a little creature.

update:
Vet says shes following light and seems to be responding more, seems confident she will recover fully within a few weeks. My uncle who is a vet also seemed confident that there will be no permanent neurological damage.

Contact the Washington - or check their website - they may have some more ideas on clearing it from all their work in the lab there: Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology Lab at the College of Veterinary Medicine

Awful.

note to the op about blaming yourself...always remember that it's intent that makes all the difference. this was a accidental mistake, and no doubt will never, never happen again.

really wishing for a complete recovery for your girl.
