One year anniversary of "gotcha" day

It is hard to believe that one full year has passed since Max joined my life. On December 22, 2010 I drove to pick him up with the "sort of" intention of being his foster mom. It only took a day or two for me to realize that I was destined for foster failure status when it came to him.

Max arrived weighing just over 70 pounds after being seized from his owner for neglect. The past year has seen diagnoses of SIBO and bilateral elbow dysplasia. However, nothing has stopped this boy's joy with his new life and new family. Here are some of the photos from the past year. He is now a healthy 95 pounds and both ailments are under control with supplements and medications.

He is very handsome. Love the picture of him in the back of the vehicle.He looks incredibly happy kind of like Im ready for an adventure . happy Gotcha Day to you and Max.
