Happy Gotcha Day To My Erin!

On October 6, 2010 it's been one year since we got Erin (formerly named Sahara) I asked many questions here about how to find a reputable rescue, and everyone on the Forum was so helpful in assisting me with my quest I am truly grateful to you.

I saw Erin's photo online and filled out an application. I was approved imediately I was shocked that the approval was so quick! I was informed Erin would be here on September 29, 2010 at the 11th Hour Rescue in Randolph, New Jersey. We met Erin on this day and she immediately clung to us! It was a PERFECT MATCH! The rescue was gracious enough to hold for one week because we needed to puppy proof the house, we had contractors rewiring, and we needed to be sure everything was safe before we brought her home.

The 11th Hour Rescue is an all breed rescue saving dogs from death row. Erin was found wandering in the mountains of northern Georgia and was picked up by Animal Control she was going to be euthanized within 24 hours. People from the German Shepherd Rescue went through Animal Control taking dogs to be fully vetted and fostered. By the grace of God they chose Erin! Within the hour she would have been euthanized. I am so very thankful to the people who helped Erin words cannot express the joy we feel! I am a supporter of the 11th Hour Rescue and I am amazed at the work they do.

The first photo was Erin's listing, they listed her at 9 months when she was really 6 months old. She looked like a waif!

The second photo was taken two days after she was at home exploring her yard.

The third photo is her nightly position she sleeps between us! What an angel!

Erin has brought pure unadulterated joy and love into our lives and she is growing into a wonderful adult. She is 18 months old now I will put a photo album together shortly depicting here throughout the year we have had her, including the blizzard pictures!

erin is beautiful and i love her name!!! "pure unadulterated joy and love" is surely what they bring to us!!!
