Four years ago today, I met with Ruth Urban and Momma She from Brightstar at an exit off the NYS Thruway to pickup Phoenix. He'd been with Brightstar for 6 months, spending a great part of that time healing from the removal of an embedded collar and being severely emaciated. He was 16 months old when I got him. It has been an interesting journey with him these past four years. He has taught me so much and I am still learning so much from him. I am so grateful to have him in my life.
Tonight, he'll get special dinner and a nice long session with the chuckit balls. I'm sure he's been spending the day at home dragging his kiddie pool around and surpervising the BF while he builds the pole building. Here are pics of my Brightstar.... Recovering from his surgery First day at his new home and after a much needed bath Take a couple weeks ago. "hiding" in the ferns during a hike on our property. If memory serves me right, he was staring at a flock of wild turkeys he soooo wanted to chase.
