We spent the afternoon napping under a tree in the backyard. Soooo nice outside... 'Til I woke up with burning allergies! Heh.

Do you guys ever go to any DOG parks in the Sacramento area??
There is a nice one in North Natomas , HUGE area for big dogs and separate one for small dogs.

Gone to one on Grant, in Citrus Heights (two miles away from home), but we usually go to our local park (2 minute walk away) and he gets some off-leash time when no one is around (or we run around with his 12ft leash if kids are present). He has a GORGEOUS "girlfriend" who is a husky-GSD-Aussie mix named Isabel who often is there, and the two frolic in puppylove. It's ADORABLE! She and her owners got to wish Jake a happy b-day, too, coz they were just leaving the park when Jake and I got there... well... I assume she wished a happy b-day... there was bit more tail wagging, nosey-rubs, and toosh sniffing than usual...

PS... for gifts, if anyone is wondering, Jakey got a "doggiebag" of goodies from Western Feed and Pet Supply [shameless plug for my local feed store!]. I got him a ton of chewies, biscuits, and cookies.
