Happy Gotch Day Sasha!!!
My beautiful Girly! July 2005, perusing the North American Dutch Shepherd Rescue site, I came across your posting with a petfinder link. You were at the Mohawk and Hudson River Valley Humane Society. The only way you were getting out was through rescue. You had been there too long, were a high energy dog with some behavioral issues. I thought I might foster you, but you had that goofy soft ear. Maybe I'd wait to foster a more obvious pure bred Dutchie..with proper ears....Nah. I'd foster you.
We arranged your pull, and a transport an I met Janice in Syracuse. She described you as a cutie patutie. That you were. Your only issue was that you have very strange communications skills. You made growly noises, when I asked for your paw...but you were wagging your tail so much your butt wagged. I wasn't sure how to take it. You were a talker. I talked to you and you'd wag and talk back. I brought you home. You got along great with my other 3 dogs, could care less about my cats. YAY. I got you up on the rescue site and took a few e-mails and calls about you. I had you longer and fell in love. You are the best little girly EVER!!! You are my heart. Happy gotcha day smiley!  Your picture from the Humane society. The high maintenance dog who had to play fetch for 45 minutes or you'd go goofy.

Joan, what a touching, sweet tribute to your darling talky-smiley zesty Grrrrrrlie!! Sasha
 seems like such a characterful, unique, quirky soul with bright eyes and a happy face. She looks like she's saying "Gotcha-- gotcher HEART, don't I!" Stripetty beauty with sweet ears and a happy-grrrl expression. Who wouldn't love spunky Sasha? Thank you for taking her in. Sasha's lucky day was joining YOUR home, Joan! She looks absolutely fantastic!  Happy Gotcha Day,  sweet sassy, zesty Sasha!
