Happy Birthday Heidi
Heidi turned 8 today. Yesterday I turned it doesn't matter and I don't want to talk about it. Anyway, we celebrated together yesterday afternoon. I decided to take 1/2 day off. I picked Heidi up and we went to a state park for a hike. Then, Heidi was disappointed because I wouldn't let her swim in the river, so we went to the lake at another park and she went swimming. Then we went to 3 Dog Bakery to pick up birthday treats. Then we stopped at the library where they were holding a book for me. It was too hot for Heidi to wait in the car so we were scofflaws and I took her right in with me. She was good as gold, but judging from the dirty looks we got from the women working there, we probably won't be pushing our luck again. It was a great afternoon.

Maybe they thought she was going to go on a rampage and eat all the books, or bark and destroy the quiet. Honestly, I don't know what a dog is going to hurt in a library, but whatever....
