Oh also just wanted to add, in my experience the H-style harnesses are the best for cats, or possibly a "walking jacket" like this.
My cats wear harnesses and some of them get to walk outside with them (and also go places/events) so I need to be careful that they have a secure harness. I generally just use the regular H-style like this but I tried the vest style because I wanted something more comfortable for them.
