I can't imagine that you can easily get under the collar to undo those strips to lift up the cover to get to the prongs...
It's not letting me go back to edit, but I did just want to add that a couple of them look like you might be able to on the very end, but not all of them - depends on where they put that very last strip. The top link you might be able to, the bottom one probably not. I like the way it is in the sample better :-D

Here are a few pics of what a cover usually looks like:

See what I mean? I can't imagine that you can easily get under the collar to undo those strips to lift up the cover to get to the prongs...

My only possible suggestion (please take no offense, it looks great!) would be maybe have one or two of those strips like in the above pics as a "just in case" the velcro doesn't hold from the collar flexing underneath it so the cover doesn't fall off. But then again, it might be plenty secure without it - it's hard to tell from a picture.

And your dog's coloring and patterning looks a lot like my dog's - I had to do a double take. :-)

Yes you can unhook the prongs with the way I did the velco very easily. The back side of the velcro is sewn to the nylon and then at the ends there is a long strip of the other side of velcro. Just hook the velcro over. It stays into place without wiggling due to the continuous strip of velcro. I don't know if that made any sense! LOL! However, I will add one of the strips of velcro in the center to make sure it doesn't move. Oh and it's short because I cut the nylon too short! It needs to be about 3-4 inches longer!

BTW - I love sables!

This might make more sense lol!

Step 1

Step 2 Take the velcro end and slip through the first link

Step 3 Attach the velcro to the other velcro on the collar

Thanks! Here's the finished product! Love the brown w/ pink!

Since Ava is a puppy I made it a "whisker" big. It adjusts from a 16.5" to 23" so it will work well for a growing puppy!

I suddenly want one.

But I like dark things.

I would want a red collar with black gothic style writing.
