Because it is a public forum, not Facebook.

You don't have to be a registered member to read someone's posts on here. So even if a block would hide your posts from that person, all they would need to do is log out and your posts would be available for everyone else to see as a non-registered lurker.

And if there are things that I don't want people to see and read, I don't post it. Period. ANYONE at anytime could stumble across posts that I have made, or pictures that I have posted. I can't control what other people read, or what they think, but I can control what I choose to make public.

This is not facebook. If you want facebook, go do that. The continuity in a thread just does not work if people who are not busy ignoring people, but are being ignored by someone, cannot read what people are writing for the whole world to see. If you do not want an individual to read your post, do not post it. Simple.

Are we piling on if we post the same thing at the same time?

It was actually malinois_16 that discovered this for us with the other software and let me know that it was happening.

I think that if I sent a PM to someone that had me on their ignore list, then I should get a return message that just has a smiley icon with it's tongue sticking out and it's hands at the side of it's head wiggling it's fingers.....

or maybe that one with "leaf me alone" under it.
