Default Puppy and climbing up stairs?

Hello

I have read that it is not good for a German shepherd puppy to climb stairs because it should be bad for there hips development. Can anyone tell me more about this? My puppy (11 weeks old) loves to climb up my stairs and I always try to avoid it, but canīt catch him do it any time. Now I will try to think of something to block the stairs so he canīt climb up but that means I need to remove the blockade every time I want to go up the stairs. I measured my stairs out. Each step of my stair has a riser height of 16.50 centimetres or 6.5 inches and has a total of 20 steps. At what age I donīt need to worry any more when he wants to go up my stairs.

Big thanks for answers!

I am no experts but what I can tell you is that I got a lot of stairs where I live and when I first got Neo (2 months ago) he was 11 weeks and he used to freak out on the stairs so I carried him up and down and didn't push it at all nor encourage him.

And then one day (he was 13 weeks) I went downstairs and he just followed me (every other day he used to take a few steps down and started to cry). He has been going up and down the stairs every since and I just don't fuss about it
