Default I know some people don't like "name my dog" threads, but...

We got this female puppy earlier today and came up with some names (Ember, Indie, Willow, Sage and Rumor) but can't pick one. What do you think of them, and do you have any other suggestions? I hate naming new puppies...lol >.<

Oooh! I LOVE naming new pets!
I really like all of the ones you came up with.
Another thing you might consider is finding names on Google. That's how I've found names for all of mine.
Pretty girl, by the way!

She's adorable. I have a Willow - great name. Actually, I really like all those names. Sorry, no help here, huh?

More history of you and your pet. Are you planning on doing any training with your new puppy? I know agility people like 'fast' names. Buzz/Flash/Zippy . Some of us prefer German type name (Elsa? Greta? ).

I like to double name all my girls, makes the name stand out. I also stick with the letter of the litter (many breeders keep track alphabetically and name them prior to us getting the pup but the CALL name (what we call them) can be anything). So my Beretta v Wildhaus is Bretta Lee, and Glory v Wildhaus is Glory B, and Obsidian v Wildhaus is Osin Blue!

Here's a great thread with a ton of suggestions

Personally off your list I like Ember best

I love Sage. It took us a month to name our Effie. We kept trying different names and that's the one that stuck.

I can be silly with dog names. Since she is going to be a light colored dog, I'd be tempted with Onyx or Blackie.

I've had three horses over the years. Two got to keep the names they came with, one was changed because I couldn't call my horse Cindy. It was rather amazing the turn around she made with a new name. Since she yelled when we left the barn and liked the boys (all gelded) a whole bunch, I called her Music after one of the muses. (Think siren song.)
Current horse got to keep his name but gets called "Goldilocks" when he's being fussy (wants everything just right), "Blondie" when I think what he is doing is stupid, "Lightening" just for fun because he isn't prone to be fast.
