Is this underweight?

Vida's a week shy of 6 months, and on Friday she weighed 38 pounds, she's about 20 inches from withers to ground when she stands. You can't see her ribs or any of her bones, her coat is super shiny and sleek. I was wondering if this was considered underweight or just a slow grower. She's part DDR working lines, and her dam is about 87 pounds, while her sire is about 96. So, just a slow starter or should I be concerned and start amping up her feeding? She currently eats about 2-2.5 pounds of food a day.

As long as she is substantial and you can't feel her ribs its ok. Working lines tend to be smaller and lighter than showlines anyway. She looks fine to me, but maybe a growth spurt soon considering the weight of her sire and dam.

Your boy looks handsome!! He looks healthy and proportionate. =)

My boy was that big at 13.5 weeks. Lol. But mine is just a giant =/

She looks fine to me too. With a 6 month GSD girl you would want her around 43 to 47 pounds, however this a general average weight recommendation for show lines and you have to take into consideration her height and the fact she is working line. But she looks fantastic to me and is best to grow them slowly for health reasons.
