Default White patch outside ear..

Hi Everyone, i have noticed a white patch on my pups outer ear.

I have felt it and it seems rather hard and crusty, however i'm not 100% sure what it is. I am thinking its a dry dandruff sort of thing.

Has anyone experienced this? If so what is it and how do i treat it.

I will be going to the vet but they are closed due to public holidays here in Sydney.

I have also attached a photo.

Doesn't sound like an emergency so just get to the vet when you can. Could be a bunch of things. If it looks like a wound then I just Neosporin and keep an eye on it. But there are also skin infections and things like ringworm that are above the neosporin

Can he still get ringworm even though he is on worm tablets? Intraspectrum plus.

Ringworm is not actually a worm. It's a fungus. So yes. There are not preventatives for it.

Thanks I think I'll have to go get it checked out by my vet to be safe. It may not be an emergency but if it's ringworm I don't want it to spread anywhere or to anyone.

I'll let you guys know.
