Default 7 Month Baby

I have a 7 month old GSD. He is so sweet. You can see him in my avatar pic. He weighs about 40 lbs. now. With him being 7 months now can anyone tell me about growth rate. He goes back to the vet soon but i was curious if he will get much bigger. He has plenty of skin to grow into and his paws are huge, but he is also already 7 months. Please Reply.

He's 7 months in that photo? He still has some growing obviously, until he's 2 years roughly. The rate kind of depends on the dog, it varies quit a bit.

Well he was over 6 months in it at least. He just isn't very tall. He is the best thing though that has happened to us.

He is a little on the small side, according to the German Shepherd growth chart. But he will grow in height until about 1 year old, and he will be completely filled out at about 3 years old.
He is very cute by the way, enjoy him!

Thank you so much. He is brilliant. We will.

Also, Your baby is beautiful also. I just love the way they all look. We have waited a long time before we finally found ours. He is a pound puppy that needed a home and we were so lucky to be there at the right place and time. Truly a blessing.

Always confused about the term "babies". Why not call them pups? At 7 months he is not a baby or a pup. He is an adolescent dog.
