She is a bit light for 4 months, average for a girl is around 28 to 35. However if you feel she is getting enough food, looks healthy, her poops are healthy looking, she has a trim waist and able to feel ribs through a thin layer of fat then she is doing fine.

She is very cute, such a pretty face

Bella was born on Christmas Day. December 25. She had her first shots shortly before February 9 when I got her, three weeks later she weighed in at about 20 pounds and then three weeks after that, she gained another 15 pounds about 5 pounds a week and weighed in the 35.8 yesterday, she's a big girl. She eats Costco chicken and rice kibble mixed with fresh home-cooked chicken rice, peas carrots and green bean vegetables, digestive enzymes coconut oil and bentonite powder.

Mine is approx 7 and half weeks old and weights 3 lbs. From what I am reading, it sounds like she is way too small for her size? This is my first German Shepherd and I want to do what is the best. She has already had her first vet visit and the vet said she appears to be healthy. She will return to the vet in 2 weeks for her second round of vaccinations. She had to be dewormed twice in 2 day period because she had a long white noodle like worm that she vomited the day after I got her. The breeder seems to be igoring me when I am trying to get ahold of him to ask questions. I still wouldn't give her back because my family has grown attached to Precious.

She will probably start putting on weight after she gets rid of the worms. And I'm sorry to hear the breeder isn't responsive to your questions. Good luck with the new pup
