24/7? No way.

Pups, especially German Shepherd pups, need to be around their human/pack.

I would never keep my puppy outside in a kennel for anything but outside time or if I was at work. Not as a permanent living situation.

no, when we get a puppy they are a part of the family. Even when they are grown they are not kenneled outside.

Nope. Not at any time are any of my dogs outside for extended periods of time without supervision. They go to sleep and wake up with me.

8 week puppy will be fine outside. It's not the norm to have a dog inside In many countries around the world. As long as you provide warm area, shelter and enough time and training with it, it should be fine

I don't. 8 weeks is too young to be left outside in a kennel. If not next to me on a leash then it's in the crate inside my house. But do agree with d4mmo about it being the norm in some parts of the country as long as proper shelter is provided. Yeah it may seem cruel to some but not everyone sees things the same way.

Never have, never will. That is still a baby. If you HAVE TO keep him outside, I would wait until he is at least 4-5 months old. I won't even leave my 2 year old outside unsupervised for more than 5 minutes. He is either outside with me or in the house.

why have a beautiful expensive dog and then keep it outside?
IMHO it just doesn't make sense. other countries may keep them outside but other countries eat them too. I believe they should be kept inside to sleep and eat esp. when they are that young. after all they are companions right?
